Fisher
Paul Fisher's common sense approach and practical experiments resulted in the invention of the sealed-pressurized Fisher Space Pen that NASA selected for use on all of the Apollo missions. They are still used on all manned American and Russian space flights. Take out your pen and intrique your friends with Space Pen trivia:
- The Space Pen performs in any condition; upside down, under water, in extreme temperatures, on carbonless paper, over finger prints and in zero degree gravity.
- The average Space Pen Refill will write 25,000 feet.
- The original Bullet Pen was invented in 1948.
- The first Space Pen was used in the Apollo 7 mission.
- Space Pen refills are available in 10 colors.
- Fisher Space Pen refills are made to fit Mont Blanc, Waterman, Cross and Paper Mate.
- It would take 3 billion Space Pens to reach the moon.
- The Fisher Space Pen was used to flip a broken switch during the Apollo 11 Mission. Using the pen to activate the Lunar Module, the astronauts were able to return safely to the mother ship.
